This is CNN: If you ever doubted that “Trump Derangement Syndrome” on the far Left is a real thing, this should put your doubts to rest.
On Saturday during an appearance on Don Lemon’s CNN program, Zakaria launched into a profanity-laced tirade against Trump, accusing him of being a liar and someone who has made his way in the world through deception.
“I think the president is somewhat indifferent to things that are true of false,” he began. “He has spent his whole life bulls**ting. He has succeeded by bulls**ting. He has gotten into the presidency by bulls**ting. It’s very hard to tell someone at that point that bulls**t doesn’t work because look at the results right?”
Host Lemon was at a loss for words, as Zakaria went on and on, documentarian Mark Dice noted on his YouTube channel:
Dice also included other examples where Zakaria used similar language to describe the current president in a way he would have never described, say, our former president or a real “bulls**t artist,” Hillary Clinton. Dice, who calls CNN the “Counterfeit News Network” for its serial publication of fake news about Trump and Republicans, noted:
“When you’re working in live television or you’re doing live radio interviews, at some point in your career, you’re probably going to slip up and swear, possibly even more than once. It happens in the heat of the moment,” he said. “But the clowns at CNN are so upset about President Trump that now they can’t even stop swearing when they’re talking about him.”
Dice is correct; this really is unprecedented. The hate on the part of the Alt-Left establishment media is so palpable they can’t control themselves any longer.
As for Zakaria, his choice of words and his characterization of Trump is as ironic as it is hypocritical. This is a guy who is a serial plagiarist once suspended by his own network and Time, as reported by the Washington Post in 2012:
Time magazine and CNN suspended columnist and TV host Fareed Zakaria on Friday after he acknowledged that he plagiarized sections of another writer’s article about gun control.
The Washington Post, which publishes a separate column by Zakaria on its op-ed page, said it was reviewing Zakaria’s work for the newspaper.
Zakaria has apologized to CNN and Time over the column, which was published in Time’s Aug. 20 issue.
But that was far from the only time Zakaria lifted other people’s work and claimed it as his own.
In November 2014, The Week took CNN to task for keeping Zakaria on as a host and columnist after three major publications acknowledged that he plagiarized parts of his work.
“It’s been nearly two months since we last took a look at the plagiarism scandal surrounding Fareed Zakaria, whose many ethical lapses have been chronicled by the pseudonymous bloggers @crushingbort and @blippoblappo. Since then, things have only gotten worse for Zakaria,” with seven Newsweek columns, one column for Slate and four Washington Post columns reposted with editor’s notes essentially acknowledging acts of plagiarism, Ryan Cooper wrote. In a February 2015 column for Vanity Fair, columnist, author, and one-time host of the television debate show “Crossfire” Michael Kinsley took Zakaria to task for being a serial plagiarist. He wrote that the various charges “raise questions about his methods, his intentions, and his anonymous accusers…”
Speaking of Slate, columnist Ben Mathis-Lilley noted in August 2014 that Zakaria appeared to have plagiarized entire paragraphs in one of his books, 2011’s “Post-American World 2.0.”
And I’ve reported on his literary excesses as well.
So needless to say, hearing a serial bulls**ter and word thief accuse President Trump, an obviously successful businessman before giving all of it up to become the leader of the free world, of the same thing is mighty haughty.
Being on the Alt-Left, Zakaria proves once again that liberal progressives lack the hypocrisy gene.
